About

Hi there!

I am Rikki Priest. I’m a mum to 4yo & 5yo kids, a wife, and a general practice registrar (medical doctor), educator, and certified health and wellness coach currently practicing in Cockburn Medical Centre, Spearwood Western Australia. I offer telehealth and telephone services for new patients. These may not attract a medicare rebate dependent on current medicare requirements, please phone to enquire  (08) 9418 3722.

I am passionate about supporting my clients to work towards their own goals for a healthier weight and lifestyle including a combination of nutrition and activity behaviour coaching (motivational interviewing) and care coordination with counsellors, dietitians, nutritionists, and exercise physiologists +/- medication.

I have done advanced certification training in obstetrics, gynaecology, and women’s health and provide holistic pregnancy and postpartum care. My passion is preparing women for the transition known as Matrescence (motherhood becoming – similar to adolescence).

I am working towards Seasons of Matrescence practitioner training to support mothers and mothers to be through the developmental transition of becoming a mother and I also plan to do Circle of Security facilitator training and my Fellowship of Lifestyle Medicine in the future.

I am an associate lecturer, educator and researcher at the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle. My research is focused on creating postpartum (beyond birth) support planning resources for doctors to use with their clients and exploring the views of GPs about this topic.

I am bubbly, friendly, and enthusiastic and I LOOOOVE my job(s).

I hope we get the opportunity to meet.
