Definition of a Low-Carb Practitioner

Directory listings are restricted to those who have a recognised medical qualification such as (but not limited to) medical physicians, medical doctors, registered nurses, registered dieticians, registered nutritionists, registered pharmacists, and also those who are trained in areas such as Health Coaches, nutritionists, personal trainers, physiotherapists, accupuncturists and physician assistants – all of whom have declared they use low-carb and ketogenic nutrition in their practice.

We do not recommend or refer to individual practitioners. We cannot guarantee their availability for a consultation. Due to individual demand, you may find some LCP are not accepting new patients at any given time so you may need to try more than one name listed. Some LCP may offer consultations online so you may wish to widen your search beyond your local area.

How can I submit a listing in LCP directory?

To submit your listing on the LCP directory, please submit the “New Practitioner Directory Entry” form.

How can I update and correct my listing in LCP directory?

It is your responsibility to keep all records, contact details and specialities up to date by emailing us. If it has been reported to us that your listing is out of date or incorrect, then we reserve the right to delete your listing without notice.

Definition of a Low-Carb Practitioner

You need to be a registered practitioner AND currently use low-carb nutrition in your practice.

Listings are currently restricted to practitioners who are regulated by a registered regulating body. For example, registered dieticians, and registered nutritionists but not those who call themselves a nutritionist without being a member of a regulating registered body. This is to distinguish between those who call themselves a nutritionist but who do not have a recognised qualification.

Listings are not currently available to those without any recognised medical training. Or those who do not belong to a regulating body.

Why aren’t nutritionists allowed to create a listing?

Currently, the use of the term “Nutritionist” is undefined. Many people online call themselves a “nutritionist” after completing a non-recognised course, self-directed study, or simply have an area of interest which they believe allows them to call themselves a “nutritionist”. The listings found here in LCP directory, are currently restricted to those nutritionists who have a recognised qualification and are regulated by a national body in their country.

Prohibitions & SPAM policy

By listing your details here in LCP directory, we cannot be liable or responsible for companies or individuals who may contact you as a result of your listing in the LCP directory. You must have your own policy and procedure in place for dealing with unsolicited and unwanted contact via email or other means of communication.
