McCabe Lentz

Dr. Lentz graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2001, and then from the Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency in 2004. She is Board Certified in family medicine and has enjoyed a full spectrum practice seeing all ages and combining preventative, acute and chronic conditions.

Over her years as a family doctor, Dr. Lentz has focused on lifestyle changes for health and removing medications when appropriate, resulting in more successful long term wellness.  Dr. Lentz is passionate about her patients, and is truly devoted to listening as well as personalizing care. She takes the time to counsel about lifestyle habits and dietary changes.

Over time, Dr. Lentz’s medical mission has become to successfully treat chronic health issues, especially metabolic disorders and obesity which are associated with most other chronic disease. Her goal is to build a true doctor-patient relationship while working as a partner with her patients through good nutrition.

In 2016, Dr. Lentz took extensive additional training and became a Diplomate in Obesity Medicine.  Her knowledge continues to grow and now extends to insulin’s relation to chronic diseases,  and the negative effects of the Standard American Diet.

Dr. Lentz is a long time advocate of using Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) eating to treat metabolic disorders and has recently implemented intermittent fasting for patients as well as in her own life.  She has seen amazing successes treating her patients using these lifestyle changes.

I am deeply passionate about optimizing metabolic health and helping others achieve their health, nutrition, and lifestyle goals through a low-carb/ketogenic lifestyle. My educational and personal journey led me down the path to a low-carb lifestyle because the benefits of this eating style are so numerous.

The Ketogenic Diet, in particular, has become a passion of mine because both the science and personal experiences from my clients inexplicably illustrate how truly amazing this lifestyle is for optimal metabolic health and disease prevention.

I am an International Ketogenic Behavioral Nutritionist, as well as a Certified Nutrition Specialist Scholar® (CNS-S) and a Certified Ketogenic Nutrition Specialist (CKNS), both credentialed by the American Nutrition Association® through its Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists.

I am hoping to share my passion and expertise in nutrition, inflammation, metabolic health, behaviour change, and the Ketogenic lifestyle to educate, inspire, and help people meet their health and weight goals

Rasmussen

I am a Family Medicine physician practicing primary care in a rural county of Alabama.  I prescribe low-carbohydrate, ketogenic diets to my patients as an option to both treat and attempt to reverse many chronic diseases of our modern age. I have found this to be a very powerful tool for patients to regain their health and wellbeing in conjunction with other important lifestyle changes (exercise, sleep and stress reduction).

I found many, many areas of medicine I liked in my years of study and practice. That’s why family medicine and the variety it offers is such a good fit for me. I get to help and heal people throughout their lives and make a real difference for you and your family.

When I care for you, I love to teach you how your body works. I see myself as your partner and trusted adviser in coming up with a plan of care focused on you.

I have always struggled with my weight throughout my life, worsened by the stress of medical school and residency.  The birth of our first child, with routine screening lab work showing metabolic syndrome was my wake-up call to do something about it.  I had tried the usual advice of “eat less and move more” that is routinely taught as gospel truth in my profession, but this never provided meaningful results.  I did more research and reading, and fully implemented carbohydrate restriction – this resolved my metabolic syndrome and allowed me to make significant progress in my weight.  I’m not entirely where I would like to be (more work to be done), but I know I will be around for my children (and grandchildren).

The results I saw rejuvenated by desire to help my patients improve their health, and has allowed me to help patients improve their weight, improve their cardiovascular status, and better control their diabetes (and even put it into remission!).

When I’m not at work, I enjoy physical fitness, martial arts, computers and high-fidelity audio and video.

My name is Jamie and I’m 40 years old. I’m a Registered Nurse in the emergency room and for the past 12yrs, I have seen what lack of movement and poor eating habits do to the body. What’s worse is that this is being taught generation after generation.

My goal is to educate and coach you on how adopting a Primal way of living will increase your health/wellness/fitness/energy levels so that you can live a high-quality life free of disease.
