Kumpf

I struggled my whole life to lose weight and keep it off. I went on my first diet when I was 9 years old. My goal was to lose 10 pounds, and I did. Over the next few years, I developed a keen interest in nutrition and started to read books like Everything You Wanted to Know About Nutrition by David Reuben, MD. Unfortunately, I didn’t maintain that weight loss and over the next 4 decades (yikes!) I yo-yo dieted my way up to a size 22, weighing in at 232 pounds. I’d heard about low-carb diets over the years, but I never tried it because I thought they were unhealthy, and honestly, it was scary thinking about giving up carbs. During the summer of 2011, I was desperate, so I decided to give the Atkins diet a try. Over the next few months, I went from a size 22 to a size 12. In late January of 2012, I was laid off from my job in publishing and given a generous severance package. I used this as an opportunity to follow my passion and went back to school to become a nutritionist. Along the way, I also became a personal trainer. What I learned was that the low carb/healthy fat (LCHF) way of eating works so well because when you don’t spike your blood glucose level by eliminating sugar and starches, your insulin level stays low, which transforms you from a sugar burner into a fat burner. Pretty cool, huh? And as a bonus, you can go for hours and hours without eating because you’re getting energy from your stored fat. I created The Real Food Formula to harness the power of LCHF into a 12-week comprehensive program that works. This is the secret to weight loss that I want to teach women like me, so they don’t have to go through what I did and spend decades on diets that don’t work. If you’re struggling like I was, contact me, I can help.

Ahern

Hi, I’m Sarah, a Prekure certified health and nutrition coach.

I’m passionate about helping women to lose weight, who are prediabetic or have type 2 diabetes by adopting the low carb/ketogenic lifestyle so they regain their health and live the best life possible.

As your health coach, I will guide and support you to achieve your health goals. I will hold space for you to see insight and understand your WHY. I’ll be your accountability partner and your own personal cheerleader!

Together we will challenge old beliefs and behaviors that don’t serve you anymore and you will learn how to change your relationship with food by moving you from a place of sabotage and emotional eating to viewing food as fuel for your body. You will learn to shift your mindset and create healthy habits that are sustainable long term.

I will teach you how to make that metabolic switch and go from being a sugar burner that stores fat to a fat burner. And I will teach you the benefits of being in nutritional ketosis.

Let me help you take control of your health, increase your health span, and feel confident in the body you are in.

Qualified as Naturopathic Acupuncturist in 2020, I practice Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture together with other modalities including electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and qua-sha. At my clinic, I not only do acupuncture but also can advise on the diet and lifestyle changes that could improve my client’s quality of life.

Acupuncture itself can help manage or even treat certain conditions, however, I do recognise that diet and lifestyle can have a much bigger impact on the overall health and wellbeing. I am an advocate of low-carb and ketogenic diets and also animal-based nutrition. Please contact me if you’d like to work with me.

I myself am an advocate of low-carb and ketogenic diets which help me maintain my own good health. In regard to the low-car diet education I follow the work of Dr. Paul Mason, Dr. Ted Naiman, Dr. Bret Sher, Dr. Jason Fung, Dr. Ben Bickman and others.
