Our practice helps patients who have diabetes and weight issues recover their health and energy levels through low carbohydrate and ketogenic diets. Patients find by using the tools provided and the support from our team, that this is a lifestyle they can adopt and succeed with long term.
Losing 10-50+ pounds is commonplace for our patients.
Equally important is the reestablishment of healthy metabolism. Blood glucose levels, insulin levels and lipid panels can convert to normal levels through this powerful way of eating. Our team (physician, nurse practitioner, nurses and ancillary staff) is committed to giving you the encouragement and long term support necessary to change your lifestyle.
It would be our privilege to discuss these issues with you. Our physician holds a monthly information meeting on the first Monday of every month. Please call to reserve your place, 708 349 0070.

Danielle is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Food Scientist from Launceston, Tasmania, with a Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition and Master of Dietetics from Deakin University in Melbourne.
Danielle joined the Nutrition for Life team in 2016 after gaining experience in various settings interstate including in hospitals, within the community, and within the food industry.
Growing up with a European background taught Danielle to appreciate the value of good, wholesome food and what it can do for your health and wellbeing.
Danielle believes that cooking and eating should be enjoyed and not feared and that it can bring people together like few other things can! She is also a huge believer in supporting local producers and home cooking using fresh, seasonal produce where possible… but she also enjoys treating herself to the occasional meal out at one of her favourite local eateries.
Danielle loves the work she does, as she can really help people feel good about themselves. She is passionate about working with individuals with various inflammatory conditions, improving the health of the gut and achieving optimal digestive function.
Additionally, Dani uses a lower carbohydrate approach to manage insulin resistance and diabetes, assisting with hormonal conditions like PCOS, and developing suitable eating plans for those with food intolerances and allergies.
Dani is very knowledgeable in the area of fasting and teaching the principles of various fasting protocols. She is also one of a small number of dietitians in the country who specialise in tailoring a ketogenic diet to individual needs after many years of experience in this area.

As the founder X-PERT Health and the author of the original portfolio of X-PERT Programmes, Trudi has trained over 1,500 healthcare professionals to become X-PERT Educators, which has permitted the delivery of structured education to over 250,000 people at risk of, or diagnosed with, diabetes. The first 10 years of X-PERT Health
Her ambition is to further develop professional and patient education systems that increase competences to enable people to successfully prevent or manage long-term health conditions, improving health and well-being, and saving healthcare costs. A visiting fellow at the University of Hertfordshire and a founding member and trustee of the Public Health Collaboration enables the continuation of research and development in nutritional education and the ability to raise awareness of evidence-based lifestyle approaches for optimal health.

As a doctor/GP it is so rewarding to have patients lose significant weight (even in their 60s & 70s), improve blood pressure, improve & even reverse diabetes, improve fatty liver & reduce the frequency of migraines.
LCHF is the most exciting thing to come my way in 30 years of medicine.
